Clarendon Live-in Carers

For over 30 years, we’ve specialised in providing the very best person-centred care at home. In that time, the key to our success has been simple; we employ the very best carers who are committed to changing people’s lives.

Our Selection process

Following an extensive selection process that includes full background and reference checks, all of our live-in carers are trained in-house by our fully-accredited training team.

All Clarendon Home Care staff must show competencies in being reliable, responsive, supportive, caring, approachable, flexible, thoughtful, personable and thorough.

With regular support from our staff of field supervisors, routine appraisals and on-site supervisions, we meticulously select the right candidates to ensure that we maintain the high standards we’ve become known for.

All of our live-in carers must also be able to demonstrate unquestionable honesty and integrity. We insist on full references and searches on all new employees including DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks.

Extensive training

Applicants must express a dedication to providing the highest standards of quality home care.

In their induction training, they must demonstrate via workshops and role-play the temperament, maturity, attitude and life-skills needed to provide the very best in home care support.

All new care staff are assigned to work with experienced carers at first and are fully trained to complete the Care Certificate in their first few weeks of working for us. They are also given additional training in medication administration, moving, handling and food hygiene. In addition to this, we provide regular refresher training and are committed to helping all our staff work towards gaining additional qualifications such as the RQF (Regulated Qualifications Framework) Level 2 in Health and Social Care and beyond.

At Clarendon Home Care we provide our care staff with the specialist training they need to rise to the daily challenges of looking after someone in their own home. We also recognise the need for life experience, common sense and a willingness to care for those that need it most.
