Our team
We are committed to employing the best home carers and support workers available. We respect the demands, challenges and stresses of providing care and support. We are focused on training and supporting our team to meet their obligations, promises and commitments to our service users.
Our criteria to join Clarendon Home Care
All Clarendon Home Care staff must show competencies in being: reliable, responsive, supportive, caring, approachable, flexible, thoughtful, personable and thorough. They must also be able to demonstrate unquestionable honesty and integrity. We insist on full references and searches on all new employees including Criminal Records Bureau checks.
Applicants must express an interest in and a dedication to providing a high standard of quality home care and demonstrate the basic skills needed to provide home care support.
Our training approach
All new care staff are initially assigned to work with experienced carers and receive thorough induction training. They are given additional training in moving and handling and in food and hygiene and first aid. They are encouraged to work towards gaining additional qualifications such as NVQ 2 in Social Care.
Learning Disability Support training
A detailed induction and training programme has been developed for support workers to help them to complete the Level 2 Learning Disability Qualification (LDQ) Induction Award in Supporting People who have Learning Disabilities.
By successfully completing the LDQ Induction Award, support workers will have demonstrated that they have met the common induction standards and will also gain a nationally recognised induction qualification, which will be the first step on a pathway of learning and qualifications for staff working with adults with learning disabilities.

We track the quality of our home care service on a regular basis with visits by our managers and experienced carers to you in your home.
