Can I choose the carer I want?
We will select an appropriate carer to meet your care needs and one of our managers will introduce them to you. If they are not suitable however we will strive to find a replacement carer as quickly as is practical.

How do I know you are competent people?
We have many years experience in providing home care support to a wide variety of users with a broad range of requirements. All our staff attend regular training and are Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checked. We are inspected each year by the Commission for Social Care Inspectorate (CSCI).

What does Clarendon Home Care actually cover?
Home care covers personal care at home such as washing, dressing and shaving as well as practical support like meal preparation, housework and shopping. Clarendon Home Care can be provided on a visiting or live-in basis.

We also provide specialist services where service users may require additional care from carers who have had specific training in caring for a specific condition or who have skills in using special equipment.

We provide professional support for those with learning disabilities and special needs.
Our trained workers provide effective support for people with learning disabilities caused by:

  • Brain trauma
  • Epilepsy
  • Down’s Syndrome
  • Autism
  • Asperger’s Syndrome
  • Cerebral palsy

Our respite care provides continuity of care whilst relieving the existing carer or family member.

How much will it cost?
On completion of our free assessment of your needs, we will advise you of the cost based on the level of service that you require.

Can I get financial support from Social Services?
You may qualify for support from your local social services department, so we would advise you contact them directly. (Please see the links page)

How long can I get support for?
We are able to support you on a short, medium or long term basis, in line with your requirements.

What if I don't like the person who visits me?
If you do not get along with you carer, please contact us without delay so we can understand your issues and allocate a replacement carer.

What tasks will they complete?
Your carer will assist with personal care such as washing, dressing and practical support such as meal preparation, shopping and light housework.

Where they are required, live-in services are available including night cover either on a constant care, periodic care or standby care basis.

What happens when your carer goes on holiday?
We will ensure that you will be introduced to an alternative carer who will be familiar with your needs.

How will my care be managed?
Your personal care programme will be managed by a field supervisor reporting to one of our managers.
